Yesterday, I did the double...double doctor's appointments, that is. It was time for Nora's four-month and Eamon's 2.5-year well visits, so I scheduled them on the same day. In recent months, Eamon has been nothing but a gem at every one of Nora's appointments, but then again, all he had to do is sit there, be cute, and get cookies from our doctor. This time around, he, not surprisingly, flipped out at just the thought of taking off his clothes, getting weighed, measured, and examined. Some promises of lollipops and a very patient, soothing doctor calmed him down and before you know it, we were on our way out, with two clean bills of health!
Here are their stats:
Eamon
Weight: 34 pounds (88th percentile; 2 pound gain from August)
Length: 37 inches (72nd percentile; 1.5 inches growth from August)
Nora
Weight: 13.1 pounds (34th percentile; 1.5 pound gain from February)
Length: 26 inches (97th percentile; .5 inch growth from February)
And, just to compare Eamon at the same age:
Weight: 16.8 pounds (85th percentile)
Length: 27 inches (97th percentile)
Wow...almost a 4-pound difference! They are definitely very different babies, in many ways!
