10 Months
Whoo hoo, double digits! Nora turned 10 months on Monday. This month, thus far, she is showing a rapidly increasing curiosity for everything. I find her exploring every corner or the house, craning her neck to check things out, and always wanting to be where the action is. She is getting more and more stable on her feet, but remains very cautious, so I don't think she will be standing on her own or walking anytime soon--predicting she'll be a 12 or 13 month walker. Fine by me!
She is also trying out some new "words": Her latest, "Go" (which sounds more like, "Ga"), which she usually delivers while we're holding her...she'll point at the same time, as if to say, "take me there." She's got the waving thing down, too, and the other day, in her music class (which she LOVES--bopping and dancing along to every song), she appropriately waved whenever prompted. Cute! Oh, and for the past two weeks or so, we've been getting looong naps in the morning and a pretty solid nap in the afternoon too, helping me to be very productive, especially since Eamon is in preschool from 8:30-2:30.
The never-ending teething process continues, and Nora now has four teeth up top and three on the bottom. I'm sure a bunch more are coming in, the way she tries to gnaw on everything...fun.
One more thing, I am so happy fall is here even though it's been grossly muggy all week. Cannot wait to dress Miss Nora in dresses and tights, sweaters and jeans! And two new pairs of shoes are on their way...patent leather loafers and little pink pedipeds. DIE. :)
