Nell at 3 months

growing...growing...growing

Love to move my arms and legs!

Well, Nellie is over three months old now and is SUCH a love...I can hardly stand it! Her sporadic fussiness aside (she was officially diagnosed with reflux at two months, which explained her crying jags), she is turning into a very happy, smiley, cooing baby. With her bright blue eyes and adorable smile, I cannot get enough of her. And neither can Nora and Eamon...they love their Nellie and will do anything to for her to give them that gummy grin. Here are some of Nellie's biggest milestones to date:

Sleeping Through the Night-ish: Yes, my friends, this girl has got the sleep thing down. As fussy as she has been during the day, she got the hang of long stretches of sleep early on. For at least a month or so, we've been getting solid 6-8 hour stretches from the little one, followed by another block of 3-4 hours after a feeding. We've since moved her bedtime closer to Nora's which has resulted in some middle-of-the-night feedings, but those are quick and she goes back down easily. Hooray, hooray!

Rolling Over: She did it once. Then she did it again. And again. I admit I haven't been the best at dedicating part of our day to tummy time, but that hasn't stopped Nellie from developing a strong upper body. She can roll right over from her tummy to her back.

"Talking": If baby coos aren't the cutest sounds in the world, I don't know what is.

Chilling Out: For a looooong time, Nellie wanted no part in any kind of "apparatus"--swings, bouncy seats, etc. But now, she'll put up with them and actually seem to enjoy hanging out watching her brother and sister. Being outside while doing so definitely helps.

There are still many things we need to work on...moving her to her big crib, for starters, but we are trying to enjoy every moment of this little girl...as we know, they grow up way too quickly!
