Nora hit the 19th month mark last week and, as you can see from these pictures, has officially become a LITTLE GIRL! Try as I might to lock her in the baby status for good, she is a full-fledged person who knows exactly what's what. She communicates in the best way any toddler can (lots of babble and gesturing, but she basically repeats anything we say) and there is no question about what she wants (or doesn't want, in many cases!). In a way, it's fascinating to see her personality develop. But part of me wants her to stay little forever, my tiny little doll who I tote around like the chicest accessory. Oh well, at least she still lets me dress her and play with her hair! Gotta enjoy it all while it lasts.
We recently spent time with the Lemoore ladies, including Isabella, who is just about five months older than Nora and quite the determined little one herself. Nora lit up when she saw "Beh-ya" and the two of them seemed to have a special connection, just like the one sparked between Sissy and I some three decades ago. It's amazing to watch both Nora and Eamon interact with their cousins in a way only cousins can...picking up where the fun left off as though they had just played together days, not months ago.
